It is a particular pleasure to be showing the work of George Rickey (1907-2002) in the Schlossgut Schwante sculpture park this year. Eight large-format stainless steel sculptures are set in motion by wind and gravity and interact with the natural elements of the surrounding landscape. On the ten-hectare site, visitors can view the sculptures from different perspectives and observe their changes over the course of the day and the seasons. The exhibition is surrounded by 21 other works from the permanent exhibition, including Lynn Chadwick, Jeewi Lee, Dan Graham, Carsten Nicolai, Susan Philipsz, Ulrich Rückriem and Anne Seubert.
