Like the last exhibitions, this exhibition reaffirms the work of the Municipality of putting private collections in relation with the State collection.

The exhibition, entitled “The Rumor of the Image” (a reference to a poem by Luís Quintais) and curated by José Maçãs de Carvalho, places works from the Alberto Caetano Collection in dialogue with the CACE on deposit at the CACC. “Many of the works in play are similar in their circular forms, which sometimes transform into tangles and labyrinths, and sometimes transform into shelters and containers, sometimes evoking traces of the house’s memory,” explains the curator in the exhibition’s exhibition brochure.
